A group of rat race rebels in Saratoga County, New York, say they are waging a war against the rat race.
They say the rat population is increasing at a rate of 10 percent a year.
The group is also trying to change the way racers are named.
(AP: Emily Rauhala)The Rat Race Rebels say the race was founded in 1892 by a group of New York State racers.
Now they are fighting to keep their legacy alive.
The rebels say they have raised more than $1 million to get rat races back on track.
The rebels say their goal is to be able to name racers for the next two decades.
They want to bring the race back to the states.
But they also want to change what is known as the Rat Racing Rebellion, which dates back to 1892.
The Rat Racing Rebels are making a name for themselves by being very loud, brash, and aggressive.
They are not afraid to take on opponents, say the rebels.
The leaders of the rebels say the racers they have named are just being named by the racetracks.
The Rat Race Revolt says the raceways name is an insult.
They claim the racings name should be changed to Rat Race.
The racetrack’s management company has not responded to a request for comment.
